Quantum Foundations Visualizer

Compare a classical bit with a qubit, collapse a superposition by measuring it, and watch a quantum sensor pull a faint signal out of noise.

Bit vs qubit

Classical bit

One value at a time. Click to flip it. Read it a thousand times and you get the same answer a thousand times.

Qubit

|ψ⟩ = 0.71|0⟩ + 0.71|1⟩

P(0) = 50% · P(1) = 50%

Quantum sensing: reading a faint signal

A quantum magnetometer works because its state is delicate enough to be moved by a magnetic field far too small for a classical sensor, a neuron firing, water moving underground. The fight is always signal against noise.

Signal-to-noise

0.76×

Buried in noise. Either shield the sensor, hold coherence longer, or average more runs.
